We are an engineering office for software. We develop web-based software and specialise in complex portals and platforms. Thanks to our location in Wallisellen near Zurich, we maintain short communication channels to our customers.

We are young, well-trained and our know-how includes the latest web technologies and systems. In today's fast-moving digital world, it's important for us to keep up to date and constantly develop our skills. We don't develop off-the-shelf solutions, but see each project as something unique. That's why our projects are as unique as our customers.

To ensure that our projects look great, we are looking for you as a Web Designer.

Your mission

As a web designer, you will create designs, keep an eye on UX aspects and, if necessary, implement them yourself (a unicorn?! 🦄).

In concrete terms, this means:

  • Design development: creating creative and appealing web designs that fit our clients and their brands.

  • UX design: Creating user-friendly and intuitive designs that meet the latest trends and standards in user experience design.

  • HTML & CSS Implementation: Implement designs in HTML and CSS and liaise with the development team as required.

Of course, you should have a good eye for detail and design, as well as an understanding of user-friendliness and accessibility.

Our expectations

In concrete terms, this means

  • You can create appealing web designs independently.

  • You are familiar with the relevant tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite etc.). You are proficient in HTML and CSS.

  • You are a team player with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and responsibly.

We put ideas to the test and challenge each other, but don't forget that we're all here for the same reason: to do good work together. This is only possible with direct feedback, openness to the experiences of others and a willingness to work for each other and for the technical work at hand.

This is not a remote job.

What we offer

You can expect a salary of around CHF 85,000 (based on 100%). Of course, this depends on the experience you bring with you.

Our benefits include:

  • 10% investment time: You can spend 10% of your working time discovering new tools/technologies and learning new things. This time is paid and belongs to you.

  • Learning week: We spend a week every year learning and growing together. This week is about team building, getting to know each other better and learning about new and unusual technologies. It's about doing all the things that everyday work doesn't allow.

  • Learning days: At least once a quarter, we hold a shorter version of the Learning Week. A Learning Day focuses on a specific topic, and everyone is free to attend or not to attend

  • 20% of company profits are shared: We share 10% of the company's profits with all employees every year. We donate another 10% to charity and open source projects.

  • Flexible working hours: For us, this means not only that you decide when you work, but also how much. The salary is based on the hours worked and you get a flexible hours/week contract. You decide how much you want to work.

  • Partner model: We have an employee participation programme and offer the opportunity to become a Renuo partner once a year.

  • We run our company with heart

  • We are happy to hand over responsibility and leave you a lot of personal responsibility

  • We have a shower – do you like sports?

  • We have as few rules as necessary

Apply now

Please apply with a CV and cover letter telling us about yourself and what you can bring to Renuo. Show us what you have created, something that is relevant to our work, something you are passionate about. Be descriptive, but don't write a novel – 500 words or so is enough.

We will reply to all applications and do not use AI for that. If you pass the first screening, you’ll be asked to come to our office for a day to meet and get to know each other. You’ll also be asked to do one or more technical exercises. Please consider whether you’d be willing to dedicate that time before applying.

Samuel Steiner ([email protected]) is looking forward to hear from you!

PS: Are/were you in the Scouts? That would make us very happy.
