Credit card onboarding application process for Manor
The full-service payment provider Accarda AG (now Viseca hired us to develop an online form for credit card orders for the largest Swiss department store chain Manor.
At first glance, the application looks like a simple credit card order form. But it's much more than that: thanks to various interfaces, it has an integrated credit check and address validation function that enables customers to authorise the form immediately after it has been completed. After successful authorisation, customers can use the credit card directly electronically and are not dependent on shipping by mail. The credit card exists not only physically, but also in the form of a code on the «Manor Mobile Card App». Another component of the application is a customer service dashboard for Manor.

The application was already used by more than 5'000 users in the first three days after go-live!
Our approach in detail
We developed the order form with Ruby on Rails and integrated it via iFrame on Manor's website.
After a customer has filled out the form completely, the data is checked for correctness and the customer for creditworthiness in only a few seconds. After a successful application – the validation happens automatically – the customer receives a code on his app a few moments later, which entitles him to make his first purchases right away.
In this project, our focus was on secure encryption and flawless validation of the data. Optimal functionality of the form in every browser and on every device was another challenge of this work.
In summary, this project was very complex in terms of both content and technology, which is exactly what we like the most!
