one11 has the character of a networked village in which job opportunities, housing and everyday support services can be easily found and offered.
Services can be found and offered simply and easily – digitally via the one11 apps or in person via the one11 centres, contact points and meeting places.
The first phone call with us was exhilarating, says Alexandra Signer (Managing Director of one11 ag) in retrospect. And that we were the only ones who thought the visionary plans were feasible and showed joy and enthusiasm for the challenge. And so it all began in 2018 with a design sprint, in which we visualised ideas, questioned workflows, built a clickable prototype and improved it through user testing.
Shortly afterwards, the development of a web-based platform for flat bookings started. Among numerous restrictions, the usability had to be kept high: Different prices for short- and longstay, blockers for landlords or cleaning, minimum rental period, bookings in the name of third parties, booking only via visit or online as well as offline payments are just some of the issues we had to deal with. In addition to an authorisation profile for renters and leasers, there are also the roles of community manager and superadmin.
Step by step, the housing platform was expanded to include a marketplace, a time account (time exchange), a rating system and numerous notifications.
In the meantime, there is also a iOS and Android application of the one11 web application. We rely on a mixture of native Flutter and Flutter Webview, building on the existing in the best possible way.
And no, we haven't reached our goal yet. And look forward to many more upbeat phone calls and meetings. That's the way it's supposed to be.
