Samuel Steiner was our first client in 2011, and thus the catalyst for the founding of Renuo. Becoming an entrepreneur had been his goal from an early age, a ambition likely influenced by his grandfather. During his time at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), this was a rather unconventional path – after all, back then everything revolved around consulting and banking. He took his first steps in entrepreneurship whilst studying, running a beer delivery service – not particularly successful, but all the more instructive for it. Undeterred, he founded the international cashback portal shariando.com at the same time – and thus came into contact with Renuo as its first client.
Two years later, he changed his perspective and joined what was then still a small team: since 2013, he has shaped Renuo as a managing partner.
With his structured, pragmatic and straightforward manner, Samuel ensures that we do not lose sight of our goals, remain true to our values and that new customers find their way to us.
From him, we learn that a handshake counts for more than a contract, that give and take go hand in hand, and that no training can be made up for. Samuel is a father of two, an enthusiastic (former) scout, a passionate endurance athlete and enjoys spending time mountaineering.
